It may happen at the certain point of time that your PAN card may come with some wrong information printed on it. It can be a spelling error of your name or some other mistakes. If this is the situation, you do not have to get tensed and worried because there is an option through which you can change and correct the errors on the PAN card. This is not something that is very hectic or difficult; rather it is almost the same procedure that is followed by the application of a new pan card.

The following steps can be followed in order to have a correction in your existing pan card.
1. Again you can visit the site of for NSDL at https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pan/changerequest.html. Here you have to click on the option saying about a correction in PAN data. This will direct you to the page where you will get guidelines about how to make a correction in PAN card.
2. As you scroll down, after going through the guidelines, you will get the option of ‘Correction of PAN data’ where you will get a box with a drop-down to select from. Select the options as per your status. Now again you will be directed to a page that will open a form.
3. Fill up this form properly. If you have gone through properly the guidelines on the previous page, you will not have much of difficulty in filling this form.
4. As you submit this form online, again you will get an acknowledgment form with a 10 digit number. Save this form and take out a print.
5. Now the procedures are similar to what you did during the online application of a new PAN card.
6. Paste your recent and colored photographs in the space offered in the form. Put your signatures in the boxes that have been provided for so. Make sure you have to sign inside the box.
7. Now you have to attach all the required documents that you have attached while applying for your new PAN card. You have to attach the photocopy of your identity card, address proof, and residential address proof. You also have attached the photocopy of your ADHAAR card if you have mentioned your ADHAAR number in the form.
8. All the documents should be self-attested and has to be put in an envelope along with the form. On the envelope, you have to mention APPLICATION FOR PAN CHANGE REQUEST.
9. One more thing that will be included in this lot is the demand draft. You have to make a draft of Rs. 106 if you have not made the payment online. At the back side of the demand mention your name and your Acknowledgment number.
10. Now finally send the whole lot at the NSDL office at Mumbai. Make sure that it should reach within 15 days from when you have submitted the form online.
Similar to the application of a new PAN card, here also you can track your PAN status either or can send the SMS NSDLPAN, and then space and then your Acknowledgment number at 57575.
