Voter card is strength of any individual of India. It is such an identification proof on the basis of which you can be identified anywhere in India. Earlier there were many hassles of getting your name registered for voter ID card. But now government had made everything online. State government of every state in India is providing their residents a facility of enrolling their name via online website. Every state has their own website for voter ID registration and UP is one of them. UP government had designed a website along with the efforts of Election Commission of India. That website is ceouttarpradesh.nic.in. The main aim of government behind making the website for every state is that, they want every single person to get registered and should get their voter ID card.

State and National Informatics Centre collectively manage and maintain the website. This website is not designed for the purpose of voter ID card enrollment but, it can also provide you all the details which you want to about the elections or about the polls. If you want to get the information or want to register, you have to log in to the main page on website. You will get all the information related to registration on the page. You can also get electoral list issued by Uttar Pradesh state government with respect to Election Commission of India.
After log in, you will come to the main page of website. There you will notice a “FORM” section. Click on that “FORM” section. You will be redirected to the next page where you will get a list of forms. Choose form 6A from there and click on it to download. Fill the form by mentioning all the correct details on the form. Take a print out of the form you just filled for your convenience. Upload the form back to the site along with the documents which are needed to make registration complete. A recent scanned copy of your photograph is also required so it should be uploaded too.
Documents needed for registration
The candidate applying for their voter ID card must have a permanent address proof of UP state. The age of the applicant should be 18 years or above. The applicant must have a valid proof of his/her age also. The proof could be anything like 10th certificate issued by UP board or by C.B.S.E board. A birth certificate can also be considered as a valid age proof. You have to upload a scanned copy of these proofs along with your form.
After few days of registration a BLO officer may visit you in order to verify that the information’s provided by you at the time of registration are valid or not. Once they will inspect everything by themselves, they will provide you an acknowledgement slip and on that slip a date will be given. On that very that you have to visit the office of election commission in your state to get your voter ID card.
If you want to modify your voter ID card then, you can get it done in a very simple way. You just have to visit the website again and fill the form which is designed especially for making changes in voter ID card. Download form 8 from there and mention the details which you want to update. Upload the form back to website. After verification you will get your updated voter ID card.
